Jharkhand's Barkha Kumari migrated to Punjab like many do from her Adivasi community, to earn a living. Her earnings were her landless parents' only financial support. While Barkha felt isolated in an unfamiliar state, she saved enough to script a success story for herself and pull out her family from poverty. Her story was documented by the Policy and Development Advisory Group that led the Jharkhand Migration Survey. This is the fourth part of the Montages of Migration series.
