Narratives for impact: Storytelling skills for development professionals

Many organisations working in the development sector are producing important work on the ground, but these efforts remain insufficiently communicated beyond reports and documentation

About the Workshop

Across India’s social impact ecosystem, organisations working in development, migration, livelihoods, education, health, and climate action are producing important work on the ground. Yet many of these efforts remain under-told or insufficiently communicated beyond reports and documentation. The ability to translate field realities into compelling narratives has therefore become a critical skill for development professionals.

Narratives for Impact is a two-day, in-person workshop designed to equip early- and mid-career professionals in the non-profit and social impact sector with the craft of storytelling for development communication. The programme is jointly organised by Prestige University (PU) and The Migration Story (TMS) – a platform known for publishing nuanced stories on migration, labour, and social transformation.
